Does God really care what I do with the rest of my money? Finances may seem like an unspiritual topic. Yet two-thirds of Jesus's parables spoke directly about money or possessions. In the gospels, one of every ten verses addresses financial issues. In all of Scripture, over 2300 verses talk about money. Why did Jesus talk so much about money? Perhaps He knew that material and financial distractions could become Godâ??s leading competitor for our hearts, attention, and affection. God's message is clear. Without clear thinking and wise planning, Join us this Sunday as we continue THE NINETY series. We'll look at the role of SAVINGS (Proverbs 21:20) in God's plan for our financial freedom and peace. You've heard about the award-winning TV series, LOST. Stranded on an island after a plane crash, 48 people struggle to make their new life work. Just a TV show, right? Is real life all that different? Sometimes we feel stranded, alone, hoping someone will rescue us. We deal with anger, wondering why God lets bad stuff happen. We are ashamed of the stuff we've done, not sure if forgiveness is even possible. We feel LOST. (note: Message 2 in this series is not available due to technical difficulties during the recording process) Comments[2]

Fishing. It’s not on the top of my list of things to do in my spare time. Hate might be too strong of a word, but, to this point in my life, I definitely haven’t found fishing to be a joyful experience. I know others who love it. They invest their time and resources into it. They enjoy the experience, and, might I sadly add, are quite successful at it. They catch fish! I, on the other hand, catch no fish! After some honest evaluation, I have come up with some reasons why I might not be a good fisherman:
So why track ‘em down? Why trick ‘em into biting my fake fish snack on a hook? Just to end up in the hand of someone who at the point of capture holds their ultimate destiny in his hand? I might be open to fishing if it didn’t all depend on me. If someone promised to MAKE ME a fisherman. (Read Mark 1:16-18.) We begin a new 5-week message series called GO FISH that will explain how God wants to make us fishers of men and women. Discover how sharing your faith in today’s culture can be a natural, regular part of your daily life.

The best way to worship is to allow yourself to get lost in wonder. Many times it’s easy to hold a high esteem for God and be passionate about worship without allowing ourselves to sense His mystery and get lost in His wonder. Wonder is important because it gives us a sense of God’s otherness.Comments[1]

Join us on February 5th & 12th as we take a look at these tasks from a Biblical perspective and give some well-deserved “props? to people at LifePoint who roll up their sleeves and do the “Dirty Jobs.?

Acts 16:6-10 tells a story of Paul and Silas at the beginning of their second missionary journey. This little slice of life from the first century shows us how God’s will can be discovered in the ordinary affairs of life. What happened to these two guys often happens to us. This text reveals 4 principles on how God’s guidance comes our way.
